Biography

Addison Rifkind is a guitarist and bandleader from Studio City, CA based in Miami, FL. His unique style is rooted in the blues, soul, and bebop with deep grooves and melodic playing as its emphasis. He is the leader of the soul jazz guitar trio Fat Produce, the funky organ trio The Glades and instrumental soul band Soul Vaccinators. He is also one of the rotating guitarists for organ groove band Scone Cash Players, who just released their latest album on Daptone Records! Addison’s group Soul Vaccinators recently released a 45 on Tiki Tumbao out of Miami. The debut record for Fat Produce will be released on F-Spot Records out of Los Angeles in the beginning of 2024. A full length record from The Glades will be released on Tiki Tumbao in 2024. Addison can be seen performing with these bands weekly in Miami and in other cities across the U.S.

In addition to performing, Addison is the jazz guitar instructor at Miami-Dade College. He is also an instructor for Young Musicians Unite where he directs the advanced jazz combo after school at Young Men’s Preparatory Academy. He received his B.A. from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and his M.M. in jazz performance at San Jose State University.
